BB&S Lighting Pipeline Free 5600K Overview
The Pipeline Remote Phosphor Reporter Kit was created by BBS to address the needs of file-and-run bloggers, photographers, journalists, and correspondents who require the highest light quality and the smallest possible form factor in a kit that practically sets itself up. The kit includes two 5600K, TLCI 95+ 1' Pipeline Remote Phosphor fixtures, two Manfrotto PIXI mini-tripod bases with adapters, a multi-voltage AC power supply with UK, Euro, and South America plug adapters, a dual power cord, and a 11 x 15 x 4.5" hard kit case.
The 13" diameter Pipeline is a form-follows-function thing of beauty. Each light has a 1/4"-20 tap in its base for quick mounting to a Manfrotto lamp base which has a footprint about the size of the average computer mouse. The efficient unit consumes just 10W of power while outputting 1000 lumens of soft 180-degree wrap-around light. Thanks to technology that places the phosphors a scant distance away from the native blue LEDs instead of coating them, the Pipeline achieves a high color rendition rating of 95+ on the stringent TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) standard. Besides its many uses for mobile image makers, the 1' lights can be hidden almost anywhere such as a car's dashboard or sun visor or at .5 lb, easily taped to various areas of the set.
The lights are powered by a 100-240 VAC adapter, but 14 VDC battery options are available, adding independence from mains power to the Reporter Pipeline Phosphor Reporter Kit's attributes.
BB&S Lighting Pipeline Free LED Light (1', 5600K)
Characterized by its convenient cylindrical shape, this 1'-long Pipeline Free LED Light from BB&S Lighting is a remote phosphor, 5600K-balanced fixture offering with a high TLCI of 98+ for accurate color rendering. Its 180° beam spread makes it an ideal soft light for broad and even coverage, and, despite its slim form factor, can output 1000 lumens while drawing 10W of power. An inline dimmer is connected to the light via a 10' cable and allows for 100-0% dimming adjustment without flickering or color shifting. The Pipeline is delivered with a 100-240 VAC power supply, along with international plugs and also supports 14 VDC power via an optional battery.
This 1'-long fixture outputs 1000 lumens with a 10W power draw.
Remote phosphor 5600K-balanced fixture has a TLCI of 98+.
Can be installed in optional single- or multi-lamp reflector banks, and can also be used in conjunction with other Pipelines of different color temperatures to achieve mid-range color temperatures.
