EtherWAN's EX78900E Series is a hardened DIN-rail mounted 16-port Gigabit switching platform. It features 60W PoE combined with robust management features required for mission-critical and harsh environments where sustained connectivity is crucial.
The EX78900E Series is equipped with 8 or 12 x 10/100/1000 BASE-T PoE ports, in combination with up to 4 dual-rate gigabit SFP ports. The PoE ports provide up to 60W/port with a total power budget of 240W, making the switch truly versatile to connect with PoE Powered Devices (PD) with different bandwidth and power consumption requirements such as outdoor PTZ dome cameras, wireless access points, PoE LED lights, and way-side communication devices. Available PoE features allow for more installation scenarios and less truck rolls. These include a long distance PoE mode which extends the maximum installation distance to 820ft and PoE watchdog which can automatically power cycle the port for which the connected device is not operating normally. Users are able to access management features such as RADIUS and TACACS+ remote user authentication, port security, IGMP snooping, port-based VLAN, GARP protocols, link aggregation and ACL, via various interfaces.
With hardened specifications, the EX78900E Series is designed to operate at -40 to 75°C in harsh environments, where high ESD, shock, and vibration may be present.
