The Aputure STORM CS32 is a high-output tunable color point source fixture
engineered to deliver the brightness of a 4K HMI or 10K tungsten fresnel in a
significantly smaller, lighter, and more flexible form factor. Built around Aputure’s
enhanced BLAIR-CG with Extended Red light engine, the STORM CS32 combines
exceptional output, high-fidelity white light, and an expansive color range in a
professional fixture designed for demanding film, television, photography, and
broadcast applications.
At its core, the STORM CS32 features a full white CCT range from 1,800K to
20,000K with full 100% ASC MITC +/- Green adjustment, Indigo for activating
natural fluorescence, and Extended Red for improved skin tone reproduction. With
high SSI performance across both tungsten and daylight standards, the CS32
delivers white light that cameras can reproduce with confidence, while its color
engine covers more than 91% of the Rec.2020 color space for richly saturated
colors and precise color matching using x,y and HSIC+ control modes.
Designed to meet the needs of modern productions, the STORM CS32 offers
flicker-free performance at 5% brightness and above at any recording frame rate,
making it ideal for high-speed cinematography ranging from large-scale action
work to tabletop product photography. Its compact square lamp head, removable
yoke, and lightweight construction also make it uniquely suited for building
powerful arrays in limited spaces, while the fixture’s 7.5m head cable can be daisychained
up to 45m to support rigging in cranes, lifts, and other elevated positions
with the control box remaining on the ground or at accessible heights.
The STORM CS32 also expands on-set efficiency with Sidus NFC for instant fixture
pairing and rapid fleet configuration, even while unplugged, as well as compatibility
with the XT52 ecosystem of optical modifiers, including the Parallel Beam 70, CF16
Fresnel, Aputure Mount softboxes, and the STORM XT52 Reflector Kit. With
serviceable sub-assembly designs for both the lamp head and control box, the
STORM CS32 is built to provide long-lasting performance, reduced downtime, and
versatile creative control for productions that demand power, color precision, and
adaptability in one compact system.
